Take a look at the creative content I made during my time at RMHC of the Carolinas! From social posts and videos to web stories and marketing materials, I helped bring the mission to life through storytelling, design, and community highlights. I also got to chat with amazing families, volunteers, and staff to share their inspiring stories.

Summer Service Summit Materials

I designed a handout and created a presentation for the Summer Service Summit. These materials were crafted to engage and inspire young volunteers, helping them understand how they can make a positive impact in the community. It was a rewarding project that combined clear communication with creative design to support an important event.

Leading with Heart: Courtney Cromer and the Red Shoe Society

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) mission wouldn’t be fulfilled without the help of our volunteers and philanthropic efforts. One of our most valued assets in both of these pursuits is the Red Shoe Society (RSS), a passionate group of young professionals who help raise crucial funds, build awareness and support our mission every step of the way.

Newsletter Graphic

To introduce myself and the other interns to the friends of Our House, I made a newsletter graphic to include in July’s newsletter! I also got the opportunity to shoot everyone’s headshot as included in this graphic.

RMHC of the Carolinas House Tour

I recently filmed and edited a heartfelt house tour for RMHC Carolina, capturing the warm, purposeful spaces where families find comfort and togetherness during challenging times. The video highlights thoughtful design details, communal areas that foster connection, and private rooms that offer solace for guests. My editing focuses on natural pacing and subtle music cues to emphasize the home-like atmosphere.

June Wishlist Assets

During my time at RMHC of the Carolinas, I had the opportunity to support the June Wishlist campaign. I created social media posts and story assets to help spread the word and encourage donations. Below are a few of the designs I crafted to engage the community and highlight the impact of their support!

Family Video Stories

TLB Story Revamp

One of my first tasks at RMHCC was revamping the TLB Instagram story highlights to get a feel for the community in the House and the branding style. I have attached a few stories below!

Bourbon Raffle Stories

In order to help promote our upcoming bourbon raffle, I got to create various story graphics to promote the purchase of raffle tickets!

Family Room Photos

After our tour of the hospital, I captured some photos of RHMC’s Family Room at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Upstate.

Hearts and Hands Gala

I had the opportunity to capture content at RHMCC’s Hearts and Hands Gala this fall. The evening was a graceful blend of purpose and celebration. Warm lighting and elegant décor framed moments of genuine connection — donors and staff exchanging stories, volunteers recognized with heartfelt applause and performers who brought lightness and joy to the room. I focused on highlighting speeches and award presentations, portraits, candid interactions, event details and action shots, balanced with thoughtful close-ups.

Intern Profile Videos

I filmed intern profile videos that explored the “Why RMHC?” personal connections to Ronald McDonald House Charities, capturing moments where volunteer roots and childhood experiences converged. Through candid interviews and observational shots, each story revealed how RMHC shaped career choices, empathy and community commitment. The interns’ memories imbued their aspirations with purpose. Documenting these narratives and the lasting impact RMHC has on lives helped show how lived compassion translates into professional dedication, resilience and a sustained drive to give back to communities in need.
